What a difference a few days makes for the UNO athletic department. Last week, a student vote to increase athletic fees failed, and UNO athletes, coaches and staff were told that athletic programs were in jeopardy. But UNO administrators told the same group Wednesday that, thanks to the pledged support of the local business community, starting with Hornets owner George Shinn, athletics will return for the 2009-2010 term and beyond.
