It’s been rumored and now it’s true. An interesting choice as he was the heir to the Arizona job when Lute Olsen was still coaching, but fell out of favor during his interim coaching period. I’d love to know all the reasons why USC made it’s pick with a guy whom fellow Pac-10 school Arizona “passed” on (to put it lightly).

Kevin could be a potential disaster hire for USC. He did not do well fitting in at Arizona for that one year. He has never had great success at any level as a head coach. We shall see. They are rolling the dice here.

I think the surprise was that there were other coaches willing to take the job, knowing the potential sanctions, but still went with a guy who, well, didn't work out in Arizona. Add the age factor and it's more of a shock. They passed on Theus who many feel was a better fit. Hell, they have 2 assistants that were better candidates than O'Neil.

Because he was the only coach who agreed to take this lousy job? Who has more players at this point? USC? Memphis? UNO?

The NCAA will smack the basketball program around like a rented mule. Why do you think they a Bush investigation sandwich with lots of Mayo?
