James, there is a lot going on that you’re forgetting to mention. Like, that the BCS is expected to be gone in it’s current form in 2014 in favor of a 4 school playoff via a +1 format. That means the Big East is out, it means CUSA/MWC has no shot, it means that the Pac-12, ACC and Big 12 will be battling it out for the 2 spots not given to the SEC and Big Ten.

In spite of Navy move, I do not think AF will go, as there are too many natural rivals for AF in the MWC and the quality of teams in MWC is just as good, if not better than the proposed Big East! I look for MWC to eventualy get an automatic BCS bid and Big East may in fact lose their status as a BCS conference.

Where does the Big East go from here? It seems like Air Force and BYU are off the table, maybe Temple or ECU?
