3/27/12: #2 Adams College Upsets #1 Faber College, Wins 2012 TV & Movie College Tournament

Adams College looked strong this year in the early tournament rounds, but when it came time for the Final versus #1 Faber College (Animal House) , #2 Adams College (Revenge of the Nerds) was a clear underdog, after Faber College destroyed each school in their march to the final. But in the end, a tough Adams College squad took out the favorite Faber, in their greatest fight, winning 58.8% to 41.2%.

TOURNAMENT NEWS:
3/25/12: Final Four News:
#1 seed, Faber College (Animal House) had a surprisingly easy time with #3 Starfleet Academy (Star Trek). The other semi-final was a tougher battle. #2 Adams College (Revenge of the Nerds) held off the last Cinderella, #8 Pacific Tech (Real Genius), as Laslow was unavailable for at game time. We’re now onto the much anticipated Championship, pitting #1 Faber College against #2 Adams College.
3/23/12: Quarterfinals News
And we’re on to the Final Four! #1 seed Faber College (Animal House) got past a pesky #21 Harrison University (Old School), sending the Cinderella home after a tight battle. #3 Starfleet Academy (Star Trek) needed a Kobayashi Maru to get past #15 Springfield University (Simpsons). #8 Pacific Tech (Real Genius) finally ended the run by #37 University of North Alaska (Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou), while #2 Adams College (Revenge of the Nerds) squeaked by #6 Grand Lakes University (Back to School).
3/21/12: Third Round News
Wow! Who saw that coming? #37 University of North Alaska (Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou) pulled off one of the bigger upsets, knocking off #4 seed and a tournament favorite, Greendale Community College (Community). Dean Pelton could not be reached for comments. Harrison University (Old School) continues their climb through the tourney, pulling an “earmuffs” on Shaq, Penny Hardaway and everyone’s favorite Hoosier (other than Damon Bailey), Matt Nover and the rest of #13 Western University (Blue Chips).
The Quarterfinals leave us with some interesting matchups, highlighted by the much anticipated #6 Grand Lakes University (Back to School) versus #2 Adams University (Revenge of the Nerds). Many have already punched the tickets for a Farber vs Adams final, but don’t expect Rodney and pals at Grand Lakes to roll over!
3/19/12: Second Round News:
The top 4 seeds continue to progress through to the 3rd round. But we had a huge upset with #5 Minnesota St. (Coach) being upset by #21 Harrison University (Old School). #37 University of North Alaska (Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou) pulled off a nice upset of their own, beating #12 U of NE CA (Undeclared).
3/17/12: First round News:
The first round included some dominant performances along with some memorable upsets. Top seeds Faber College (Animal House) and Adams College (Revenge of the Nerds) took care of their opponents Groff Community College (American Dad) and Kennison St. University (West Wing). But other top seeds, such as #3 Starfleet Academy (Star Trek) struggled against #62 South Harmon Tech (Accepted). The biggest upset though was probably #7 California University (Saved by the Bell) being beat by football power Eastern State (The Program). The sister school, #10 California University (Beverly Hills 90210) had a similar fate, as they were upset by #55 Hamilton University (Teen Wolf Too). Not a happy day on the Cal U campuses.
