Doggiefan, the only thing I can say is maybe I have been placed in this world to irritate your pathetic little world. It sure provides me much laugher during my hectic business days.

I have no issues criticizing the BE or any other conference.

The difference between doggier type post and mine are being objective.

I actually don't support the BE anymore than any other BCS conference or non BCS conference.

I look at the facts and provide my views.

This year the MWC is lagging far behind the new configured Big East.

Its a fact. Last year was a life time ago and many of you are living in the past when comparing last years BE champion Pitt to last years MWC champion Utah.

As for bowls, the BE is playing much better competition than the MWC, so it is comparing apples with oranges.

Now if you compare BE bowl results to the other BCS conferences, then you have my attention.

Now if the MWC was really doing something great, the champion would be playing in the Holiday Bowl and not sending a rep to the very minor Poinsettia bowl.

Speaking of pathetic, this has to be how the home team views the champion of its MWC.

If the BE champion were not going to the BCS and runner up to the Gator, Tampa would probably being seriously looking at the BE for the Outback bowl.

The BE third place team just is not up to snuff when compared to the SEC and Big 10 third and fourth deep.

So see the BE does not always get favorable reviews from me.

The BE does need to win its BCS competation games or it will fall to the same standard as the MWC.

We do have to wait as the bowls have not really been played yet. So actually the BE and MWC conference are even at this point in comparison of bowl wins for 2005. I will give you that one.

Lash,I doubt anyone who bothers to review your past posts will believe that you are not a DIE HARD BE fan although you CLAIM to be a Miami fan.Apparently you like to flipflop. You at least have that in common with Lashette ;D ;D ;D.

The MWC and BE both play 4 bowl games.None of the 8 opponents are from non-BCS conferences.I agree that the BE appears to be overmatched this year.

You are wrong again, the Outback is contractually connected to the SEC/Big 10.The BE has/had no chance of picking up a Outback slot.

I again say that YOUR BE will be lucky to win more bowl games this season than they lose. Also,I think the MWC will win more bowl games this season than YOUR BE does.We will know for sure by the end of the day on 1-2-06.

The great worth of the mwc is totally regionalized to those at high altitudes and can be traced to a massive lack of oxygen.

Doggie, hate to disappoint you, if the BE loses BCS membership, I will just move on to other subjects to debate.

The difference between you and I is taking things personally. You are dieing with the MWC not have access to the BCS and I am just posting on the many reasons the BE will retain BCS membership.

So guess I can see why you have such a hard time on this board. Frustration is not good for the health you know.
Take care!

High altitudes generally mean the air will be cleaner with the next gust of wind.

TS2 has had too many greenhouse gasses at the source.

The current Mountain West schools messed up when they add Rice, SMU, TCU, and Tulsa when they were in the WAC.

Sorry Lash, but I don't believe you.If we were on the BE thread it would be one thing.

However, the fact that you want to constantly post on the MWC thread about the BE possibly losing their BCS autobid SCREAMS out about how insecure you are about the BE BCS autobid. You sound and act like you are scared.

Also, you appear to want to change the subject away from this years bowl games. As I posted before,I don't see the BE winning more than 2 out of 4 bowl games this season. Also, the BE will be lucky to win more bowl games than they lose.In addition I think that the MWC will win more bowl games this season than the BE does.

Wrong, they messed up when they added Rice, SMU, Tulsa, and San Jose State. The Big 5 wanted just TCU and UNLV.

Rice, SMU, Tulsa would have made good additions to CUSA at the time, CUSA could have become an all-sports conference quicker.

Louisville
Cincinnati
Memphis
Southern Miss
Houston
Tulane
Tulsa
SMU
Rice

If Dan Hawkins passed over some choice job offers last year, why is he leaving for Colorado now?

Mind you, for all I know, Chris Peterson may turn out to be a better coach, if the rumors are correct and he jumps from OC to HC. However, I suspect Boise State may have peaked.

Look to Fresno.

The best schools in the rockies area are the University Of Colorado and the University of Arizona. The best schools in California are UC Berkley and Stanford and UCLA and USC.These are great universities with great athletic programs.Nothing in the mountainworthless compares to these schools.

Uh....I don't think Arizona is anywhere near the Rockies, man....let me get a map.

It just demonstrates the lack of geographical understanding amongst talking heads. On ESPN radio today, Kevin Cowherd insisted that Denver was a "West Coast city". Only off by 1,000 miles.

Cowherd is from Seattle, and spent a lot of time in Portland before getting the ESPN gig. He knows d**n well where Denver is. He's simply pandering to the East Coast crowd.

It is but second nature for a WAC board to discuss Mountain West expansion. Interesting discussion on a possible addition forthcoming, with a sizeable number of MWC comments geared toward looking east of the Rockies.

http://www.ncaabbs.com/forums/wac/phpbb/viewtopic.php?t=2201

The last time the old WAC/current MWC added a school in the Mountain Time Zone was 1978, and Air Force isn't exactly just a local draw.
