Now that MTSU has surpassed UTK as the largest university in the state of Tennessee, they deserve more than the Sun Belt.

The question is going to be if the MAC wants to get back to 14 again. Could be problems or no desire to go back to that. The other question is if schools such as EMU, Buffalo, and Kent will get their attendance figures up and stay Div. 1.
The MAC is tight with 6 Ohio and 3 Michigan schools of 12 all. But a little future turf expansion with schools southward could be attractive.
When UTEP went C-USA instead of another MAC school, that stopped any deeper change happening at this time other than UCF and Marshall leaving.
