YES! I am so excited. This is something that will help Idaho recover from its current status of bottom dweller in 1-A. It will take some time, but Idaho will do better than it has now. This improves recruiting mainly. It also will improve attendance and excitement about the athletic program. I think we will be a good fit in the WAC. We have wanted in since we decided to go to 1-A along with BSU.

This will also help us to maybe have some success. The best part is that in the WAC, you don't have to win the championship to go to a bowl game. The WAC usually has 2-3 bowls available, maybe more if there are any schools that are close to the BCS (Boise State, Fresno State). Our other programs besides football will benefit the most. They have done well. Especially track and field.

A note to BSU: We're BAAACK!!! That needs to be our motto: BACK IN THE WAC! I hope that the scheduling will switch and the annual UI-BSU game will return to around rivalry week. Hey, it means something now! This is great. BSU wanted so badly to get into the MWC and now they have to deal with the fact that Idaho has now rejoined its conference. HA! :) HA!HA!HA! Idaho is back. We're gunning for you. Watch out and see how quickly we rise. Vandal Nation has just been vindicated. We are now on the same playing field and conference as BSU. YES!

We will be able to compete now that we are in a good regional conference. It makes all the difference in the world. Recruiting, donation$, attendance, excitement, rivalries renewed (BSU, Nevada-Reno, NM State, Utah State). Idaho will be a good member of the WAC. Watch out BSU, here we come! HAHAHAHA! ;)

This is the deal. WKY is waiting this round out.
This is partly due to the fact they just spent a boat load of money refurbishing Diddle Arena, and partly due to them wanting to wait until the requirements and what's expected of them to be 1-A or known for sure. I expect them to announce their 1-A intentions to join their SUNBELT brethren in '05 or '06.

l-tech is going to ride that WAC pony unril it dies. Wright Waters(Belt commish) is giving the techies every opportunity to discover reality and come back. They won't.

That leaves ULM. They are in the process of hiring a new AD. Also, they are waiting on the results of an audit being done by the UL system board. Both things will be finished in the next couple of weeks. Expect ULM to be announced as the 8th all-sport member in that time.
