Question (Bevan Buchanan): Does the Sun Belt Conference want to join Tulane in leaving Div I-A football and try to form the 52-team league?

Commissioner Wright Waters: I am not aware that Tulane has any ambition to leave IA football. In fact their most recent study by their Board acknowledged the importance of IA football to the institution. I will tell you that I am a strong proponent of the five non-BCS conferences not trying to bring the BCS down but trying to bring us up through working together
