BSU & SDSU coming back?

"There were indications Friday that Boise State president Bob Kustra may make a statement before then on Boise's future."

Fresno St. Alum wrote:

"but sources at Cincinnati and UConn are under the impression, even if it's not known to be true yet, that the Big Ten will raid the ACC for two more schools -- North Carolina and Georgia Tech."

NOT UVA...?

rumors today are we want Houston but not inviting SMU. We need SMU to get Houston so WTF
UNLV AD said we are going to 16 no matter what. W/ or w/o BSU? I don't see 16 unless BSU, SDSU are 2 of them.

Yeah I don't really get it either. Do they want La Tech or something? It's not like SMU and Houston carry the same markets. Unless BYU wants to join again, but why they'd want to do that is beyond me.

But 16 no matter what? Interesting...

I could see Boise St being granted rights to their OOC games but demanding the rights to their 4 conference home games is just insane. I know Boise is the key to whether its the Big East or MWC that emerges as the stronger conference but Kustra and company need to understand that they are Boise St not USC, Notre Dame, Florida, or Texas.

If someone does decide to grant Boise St their media rights then it sets a terrible precedent for all of college sports. It attacks their very fiber of every major conference and will only make the rich richer.

Is ESPN again having their bloggers planting re-cycled rumors? Delany and Slive, do you control this, or your real masters TV & ad sponsorship execs.?

Good luck to Boise State as it tries to keep TV rights for home football games

Yahoo sports report "Boise State may reconsider joining Big East"

http://sports.yahoo.com/news/reports-bo ... ncaaf.html

Interesting quote: "Meanwhile, two other current members of the Mountain West Conference - ColoradoState and New Mexico - have shown some preliminary interest in forming a new conference with either BYU or Boise State - or both - as the conference's anchor team, CBSSports.com's Dennis Dodd reported. "

Didn't see that in any Dodd story must have missed it. But seriously if BSU/SDSU want to start a new conference with AFA/BYU, UNLV/Fresno, CSU/UNM, and most probably Nevada/Hawaii, they are just leaving behind the new additions of SJSU/Utah St and Wyoming so whats the point?

The only reason is to get a new TV deal a few years sooner, losing the MWC name will limit their marketability and ditching the old conference/TV deal will just piss off CBS who will most likely not bid on their programming and make the other networks scared because if they ditch this deal what makes them think they won't ditch the next one too?
