I should think that while they are trade-marking and registering domain names, they should include every other number 10,11,13,14,15,16),
so they can switch it later and not be black-mailed into paying some enterprising kid if and when they expand / contract.

I do like the name. But some confusion may follow with A-12 (America 12) vs. A-10 (Atlantic 10).
Maybe America Conference 12 (AC12) would help to differentiate.

So the A12 will have 11 all sports members when they invite Tulsa, makes perfect sense. Big 10(14), Big 12(10) A-12(11) A-10(14-4+?)

ESPN and everyone like Acronyms, that are one syllable.

I think ARC would have been a good one, American Refugee Conference.

It conveys the image of colleges in a mad scramble to save themselves.
And typical league expansion is two-by-two.

csn board has a thread saying Tulsa is the only other school A12 is in contact w/ to become a member.

The ironic thing is that the A-12 will only have 11 full members, meanwhile the A-1o, assuming they expand after the BE defections, will have 12 or 14 members. These conferences are using Big 10/Big 12 math.

I personally prefer "All-America Athletic Conference". It's geographically correct and doesn't bind them to a certain number should schools move in or out which we know they will every day or two.

Better add Rice so they can use "Southwest Conference" for their conference name. Believe they co-own it with SMU. America Conference sounds worse than then Conference USA and the Sunbelt Conference.
