In an effort to expand the contacts between the conference schools, the SEC formed it's academic consortium last fall.It is christening it's new headquarters in Fayetteville today.Perhaps this will help to strengthen the bonds amongst the conference members.Link at http://dailyheadlines.uark.edu/12750.htm

Good information, Freaked. Nice for Arkansas to host. Perhaps the next meeting, Auburn, Georgia, & Florida shall show.

Of the 4 "eastern"BCS conferences, the BE is the only one without an Academic Consortium. Here is BE MB discussion regarding that situation at http://ncaabbs.com/showthread.php?tid=295695

Article out of Nittany Lion country extolling the virtures of the (CIC)Big Ten Academic Consortium.Another reason that Penn State is unlikely to leave the Big Ten any time soon.
Hopefully the SEC obtains similarly good results with it's relatively new Academic Consortium.
The Big East is the only "eastern" BCS league not to have an Academic Consortium.
