I agree with the concept but it should not apply only to all sports. Why is it not OK for womens soccer to leave on Wednesday and return on Friday but it is OK for MBB?

Aren't you the same guy that wanted Rice in the ACC?

Conferences need to get smaller in size....not more spread out. These athletes are supposed to be in school....taking 3 days off of classes every week for two months will hurt their grades.

College sports needs to do a reset. Too many factors are ruining amateur athletics. This drive to create 4 FBS conferences is ridiculous. In my opinion...we should have 12....10 team conferences. All conferences should be regional which would reduce travel expenses, reduce time away from classes and increase regional interest. 10 conferences would also mix up the powerful schools and include the Go5 schools in the regional conferences with their P5 brothers.
This...."have's" and "have not's" deal in D1 football is sad. The have's and have not's can't live without each other. So, why not fix the situation and give all schools a solid deal.

If we get to a 16-team conferences, we may be able to have geographically reasonable 8-team divisions.

B1G and SEC aren't too bad.

ACC needs to un-zipper and split North-South.

The PAC could split E-W with the West Division being the old PAC-8.

AAC is split E-W for football, if they grew, they could stay with that.

Similarly the MWC is split Mountain and West.
