suggestion for realignment of the big east basketball

EAST: Rutgers, St. John's, Seton Hall, Villanova
NORTH: Connecticut, Pittsburgh, Providence, Syracuse
SOUTH: Georgetown, Louisville, S. Florida, W. Virginia
WEST: Cincinnati, DePaul, Marquette, Notre Dame

6 games against the 3 team in a division (3 home, 3 away)

12 games (6 home, 6 away) against the other 12 teams

The top 3 teams in each division take part in the conference tourney.

seeding would be 1-12 according to regular season standings (conference only).

example: Rutgers
HOME: St. John's, Seton Hall, Villanova
AWAY: St. John's, Seton Hall, Villanova

against NORTH
HOME: Connecticut, Pittsburgh
AWAY: Providence, Syracuse

against SOUTH
HOME: Georgetown, Louisville
AWAY: S. Florida, W. Virginia

against WEST
HOME: Cincinnati, DePaul
AWAY: Marquette, Notre Dame

Can't break up Pitt-WV.

North: Conn, Prov, Syracuse, St. John's
East: Rutgers, Seton Hall, Villanova, G-town
Central: Pitt, West Va, Cincinnati, Louisville
West: Marquette, DePaul, Notre Dame, USF

Actually, USF doesn't fit anywhere, does it?

The BE is a meshing of some northeast and midwest cathloic schools with some all sports state, state-related, and private schools.
It is embracing volume in bb to make up for fb losing three prime all sports schools. Yep, it added three others, but South Florida is not Miami and Cincy is not VPI.
The bb of BE could and should be two leaugues. The fb schools need to break off and add East Carolina and up to three more eventually, depending on what happens with D-1AA, Temple, etc.
Wishing upon a Notre Dame is foolish. ND will NOT play BE fb, PERIOD! Villanova will remain second level, and Army and Navy are remaining fb independent for now.
If so much time, though intriguing, is devoted to BE membership changes and speculation, it is obvious the conference has an unsettling dimension.
The ACC picked from the BE as they pleased. What other BCS conference would have been so vulnernable? If the B-10 wanted a number 12, they could pick who they wanted too from several in the BE.
