Yes lash and sec08 you should convey all your great ideas to both the NCAA president and all BCS league heads. You guys are truly great internet fans. You seem to have given up going to live games for the thrill of designing new college conferences. If you turned your attention to corporate governance or the world situation the world would be so much different. You could even direct some of your great thoughts to the whitehouse.

Maybe Lash has told you how many games he has been to, but certainly I have not. You need to return that Walmart crystal ball and get your money back. When you asked about those great alliances with Notre Dame and Navy, and Villanova going 1-A, then shook it, and to the top popped the message "TROLL UNTO THEE O' LOUISVILLE", you should have gotten a clue the globe was defective.

You are the troll everyone talks about on the college sports sites. Learn to spell, punctuate, and show decent grammar before trying to engage me further. You won't. one, two, three, four.................

The sad part is that Tigersharktwo represents the current Big East way of thinking.

It the same type of thinking that lead to the Big East raids in the past from the ACC.

It the same type of thinking that expanded with 5 new schools after the raid and only three played major football. We all know the Big East was planning on a split at that time, however, if the conference could have taken a risk we could have Memphis and Central Florida in place of Marquette and Depaul.

If you don't like those schools on academics, then Miami Ohio and kept Temple for all sports or expanded with TCU and SMU. SMU was one of the few football schools that graduated all of its footbal players.

It the same type of thinking that allowed Notre Dame to come on board without football.

Its a basketball first way of thinking and football will always be secondary until the football schools do something about it.

MT just recently confirmed that Georgetown will never upgrade and the athletic director at Villanova confirm the status quo of too much revenue needed to upgrade.

MT also confirmed that Big East is not interested in expanding with 17 schools yet continue to express concerns with Big East football scheduling issues. You just can have it both ways and not get blind sided all the time.

Notre Dame will never join the Big East for football.

The one thing the Big East football schools have in their favor is BCS membership.

In a few years with the new BCS access bowl that permits better access to non BCS conferences, more of the non BCS conferences will inch closer to the Big East is football.

So hope the football schools like being in basketball conference because that is what they belong to.

Tigersharktwo, I am sorry but how can you be a fan of college football and truly believe the current situation is good for Big East football.

Since you claim to attend Big East football games and you actually like watching Big East/MAC games or Big East/1AA games, you may be the most loyal Big East fan of all.

The problem is that other college football fans do not like watching these type of games and this will keep the Big East football from ever achieving its true potential until there is an all sports conference.

We Big East fans can only defend the Big East for so long and sooner or latter the die hard Big East football fans and going to start believing like most of the nation that Big East is a basketball conference that have some members that play big time college football.

By the way Tigersharktwo, what the Big East needs is more fans that tune into TV for Big East football.

This is something we can all contribute regardless of where we are located. That is if there are any Big East games to be had on Saturdays when most fans tune and watch college football.

Of cours the Big East focus is on Saturday basketball game and this does not really help out with football.

I do fill sorry for Pitt, Syracuse, WVU, and Rutgers from the old guard that are basically are stuck in a basketball conference that is dicitated by basketball concerns and Notre Dame.

Big East football is a step child in this new 16 team alignment.

Most conferences would have 16 teams that play football and 4 schools that do not play basketball where the Big East have 8 schools that play football and 8 that do not.

Again its a basketball conference that have some schools that play football.

The BE is and will be a great conference. No one is really sure what Villanova will do.That depends on what is happening to 1.1AA. 2.the addition of ODU as the 13th member of the A10/Colonial football program 3.whether Villanova would play a partial BE football schedule.

Tigersharktwo, your absolutely correct and the Big East is a great basketball conference.

Big East Football in its current form is not great and would not call it good and that just something we are all going to have to live with as fans.

There is nothing any of us can do anything about.

We just have to agree with non Big East fans, the Big East is really no better than the MWC with 9 teams and probably not much better than the 12 team Conf USA for football.

Once you get past that, everything is clear on how to deal with the future Big East as a fan.
