Newman would seem like a nice geographical fit in the MIAA.

The "football requirement" seems like a joke, if 2 schools actually play FB in the GLVC (? didn't think that was permissible by NCAA rules - maybe that's only for D1 ?)
I thought that if your conference sponsored a sport, you were required to play that sport within your "home" conference (allowance made for FBS vs. FCS for Army, Navy, Liberty, etc...)

If MIAA were to entertain inviting Newman, they might want to balance that out at 16 by adding Drury or Rockhurst from the 15-school GLVC
(that'd make 8 Missouri schools for the MIAA East, and 8 non-Missouri schools for the MIAA West).
