I've got a left-field question for you.

I was over at a soccer site where the UC Davis proposal was brought up. Reason, of course, is that the stadium will have FIFA-ready dimensions if they want to host soccer there. This was posted to hint at the potential for a Sacramento in MLS bid. With the track at Hornet, is it safe to assume that soccer is not really in consideration with this project?

This is a write-up that you think would hint somewhat at stadium possibilities and the benefits to Hornet football, but all they mention is accomodations to US Track & Field to host the Olympic Trials again. One wonders if football doesn't even have to be in mind for this.

I am having difficulty following your ?? You were at a Davis site discussing soccer and they said their new stadium will have soccer dimensions? Is that what you are saying? Ok, I don't really give a flip about anything Davis related.

This stadium at Sac State will be tailored for football and of course Track/Field. Sac is hosting the next three consecutive NCAA Track Championships. And is in bid for the '08 Olympic Trials.

MLS crapped out in San Jose, if Davis wants to be a home for this girly man sport, go for it.

Administration is pushing for early 2006 ground breaking, latest I heard from the school said early summer '06.

Sac is trying to get the '08 Olympic Trials again, if that is successful, the administration said they would like to have part of the facility open by '08.
