Not many posts here since 2005, but need to note that two things have changed....

Samford is off to the SoCon, so that OVC is at 10 members, and Austin Peay is moving from non-scholarship Pioneer League FB to OVC Football. So 9 of the 10 OVC teams will be playing OVC football, everyone but Morehead State, who is still in the non-scholly Pioneer Football League.

Not sure if the OVC is in expansion mode, or happy to sit at 10 for a while. One new school on the horizon is SIU-E (Southern Illinois-Edwardsville, not to be confused with SIU (Southern Illinois - Carbondale a/k/a SIU-C of the MVC))..... SIU-E is moving up from D-II (they beat the moratoium). I don't think they currently play football, but they may be thinking about it. SIU-E is not far from St. Louis, and they should be on the OVC's radar.
