Everybody is still taling about it:

Excerpt from Greg Doyel's article on CBS sportsline today listing his picks for each conference...

Independents

Player of the Year: Chris Daniels, Texas A&M-CC

Freshman of the Year: Ben Woodside, North Dakota State

Coach of the Year: Tim Miles, North Dakota State

Last word: N.D. State's win at Wisconsin was upset of the season.

Heres the link for all the awards:

I was wondering that if the United Basketball Conference becomes an "all-sports" conference and renaming as the 'United Athletic Conference'. With the same 6 schools:

Texas-Pan American
North Dakota State
South Dakota State
Indiana/Purdue-Fort Wayne
Utah Valley State
New Jersey Tech

And possibly more schools from DI wwho are independent or D2 for being upgraded.

That's all for now.

John

Yeah, I would think a similar arraignment would work for baseball (there are 13 independent baseball programs: Cal Davis, Dallas Baptist, Hawaii-Hilo, IPFW, Longwood, NYIT, North Dakota State, Northern Colorado, Savannah State, South Dakota State, Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, Texas-Pan American and Utah Valley State) and volleyball.
