Which of the above number of new schools as far as an option/scenarios for Mid Con do you think is likely given the exit of Chicago State from the Mid Con?

I think Utah Valley and IPFW are in for sure.

I voted one. It seems to me in situations like this the easiest, and most viable option is the most likely to occur. Perhaps down the raod further expansion might occur, but in a reactionary scenario such as this when one leaves then one is added, simple as.

There are plenty of favtors here that oculd come into play. For instance, what if the A10 and America East football members left the CAA picking up Stony Brook to form a new league? What if Youngstown St. were to join up with this group, taking 1 member away from the Gateway? And what if WKU upgrades to I-A? All of a sudden, the Gateway is down 1-2 members. The Dakota schools could be a good fit.

Then again, by adding those two, the Mid-con could absorb the Great West and begin sponsoring football with NDSU, SDSU, SoUtah and affiliate members Cal-Poly and UC Davis. Throw in Savannah St. for football-only and you have 6 teams and an automatic berth.

Alot could happen, but at this time, I think the Mid-con benefits most by adding the (2) Dakota schools. That is of course assuming the Bog Sky doesn't invite them.

Yes, a lot could happen. If the BE splits and expands in 2010 or the MWC ever expands, it could lead to a domino effect where many of the teams listed in these series of Mid Con expansion polls would be considered as expansion candidates, and perhaps even ones not listed.

I thinkl they will add NDSU, SDSU, IPFW and be on their way to sponsoring football.
