Which is the most likely 1 school, in a 1 school expansion (for 9 teams), would the Mid Con pick? State your reason for your pick.

IPFW because it's the easy rubber stamp pick.

If IUPU-FW joins the Mid-Con, there'll have a great rivalry with IUPUI.

I agree about IPFW. They would replace a team from the same part of the country, Chicago for Ft Wayne, and wouldn't change the travel dynamic for the current league members, if that is what they want to maintain. The Valpo coach or maybe the Valpo AD has talked favorbly about them being added. IUPUI may not like it though, but Chicago State leaving could change their viewpoint if travel is their concern.

After IPFW, they could then venture outward, look at the Dakotas, all three included (if UND moves up) and consider UVSC.

It could be the Uey Puey Bowl. Or however you would spell that. Do they play OOC now?

There's also Indiana University-Purdue University-Columbus (IUPUC) located in Columbus, IN, just 1 hour east of Bloomington and 1 hour south of Indianapolis.

Maybe they could field some sports and move up to D I. Then there would be a third Uey Puey.

That might work. Having an athletic conference with all the regional campuses of Indiana University, Purdue University and the IUPU. I like that idea.

Interesting article in the Indianapolis Star about IPFW's chances of joining the Mid-Con.

It appears that IUPUI is hypertense about travel and is not thrilled at the possibility of the Dakotas entering the conference.

Yeah! I've heard of that one. It's called the Ohio Regional Campus Conference. Sometimes all Kent State campuses compete in that conference. And aslo Pennsylvania has a conference like that an it's called the Penn State University Athletic Conference.

Eastern Division

Pennsylvania State-Beaver County
Pennsylvania State-Dubois Dukes
Pennsylvania State-Fayette Roaring Lions
Pennsylvania State-Harrisburg Lions
Pennsylvania State-McKeesport Saints
Pennsylvania State-New Kensington
Pennsylvania College of Technology

Western Division

Pennsylvania State-Abington Little Johns
Pennsylvania State-Delaware County Nittany Lions
Pennsylvania State-Hazleton Nittany Lions
Pennsylvania State-Mont Alto Nittany Lions
Pennsylvania State-Schuylkill Nittany Lions
Pennsylvania State-Worthington-Scranton Knights
Pennsylvania State-Wilkes-Barre Nittany Lions
Pennsylvania State-York Nittany Lions

Others (who don't compete in the PSUAC)

Pennsylvania State Nittany Lions (Big TEN Conference - DI)
Pennsylvania State-Altoona Cougars (Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference - DIII)
Pennsylvania State-Erie-Behrend Lions (Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference - DIII)
Pennsylvania State-Berks County Nittany Lions (North Eastern Athletic Conference - DIII)
Pennsylvania State-Shenango Lions
Pennsylvania State-Lehigh Valley
