With the SoCon already down to 11 and Georgia Southern and Appalachian St looking at the Sunbelt and Davidson and possibly Elon and others looking at a basketball-centric conference I think the the OVC should try to get UT-Chattanooga and Samford to jump over. It would make for an 11 member fb conference and 14 for all sports provided that no one cherry-picks Belmont.

Belmont is the lead dog for the MVC spot, so it would be 11/13

If Belmont leaves maybe they can give Western Illinois a call---it would bring them to 12/14. They could do North and South Divisions for football and possibly Olympic sports as well. Olympic sports divisions might have to be a little different because both non-fb schools (SIU-E and Morehead St) both fall in the North.

Just recapping...

Assuming Belmont leaves for MVC, App St/GA SO go to SBC, and Davidson + a friend or two get an invites elsewhere.

Top fb picks:
UT-Chattanooga (from SoCon)
Samford (from SoCon)

Possible fb picks:
Western Illinois (from Summit/MVFC)
East TN State (from ASun/starting fb)
Kennesaw State (from ASun/starting fb)
Mercer (from ASun/might add scholarship fb)
North Alabama (D2 upgrade/Gulf South)

Possible non fb picks:
Lipscomb (ASun)
Northern Kentucky (ASun)
