Where are you getting this ?

NJIT was the only Great West team not invited to join the WAC (because NJIT is SO FAR East)...
We've heard they have been trying to make friends with AE, NEC, etc.
They have not received any invitations YET, but should not give up.
With the C7's imminent raid on the A-10 approaching, there is likely to be some upheaval in the A-10, CAA, AE, NEC, etc.
This could all work to create an opening for NJIT. So they would be wise to continue to make friends, invest in facilities, and sit tight.

NJIT has appearantly been turned by AE for lack of facilities and the unwillingness to expend sufficent funds in its sports program.

I also believe this has happened with the NEC.

Any idea what NJIT's athletic budget is and how it compares to the NEC? I feel like once the Catholic 7 fallout shakes out the NEC might not be able to be as choosy about who they add

NJIT can still be in D-I for most sports if they have either the Prudential Center or the Izod Center for its men's & women's basketball teams as its adequate arena/facility. That would help the school's chances to be invited by an athletic conference within its area.
