Typically the D-II membership committee holds it's annual meeting around the week of July 6th.

The Senior Reports D-II thread has the list of 2014 D-II applicants (I think there are 8, per info provided by the NCAA).

Anyway, expect to hear who gets accepted / rejected in about 2 weeks.

D-2 Membership meeting will be next week - July 7-9, 2014.

The membership committee then notfies the applicants, and they prepare their own press releases (sort of a weird procedure).
If it's like the last few years, these press releases will come out Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
Anyone who doesn't issue a press release by the end of the week probably got rejected....

And word has come from on high (NCAA D-II membership committee):

5 of the 8 applicant schools has been accepted into D-II.

Concordia (Oregon) -> D-II GNAC
Concordia (Irvine, CA) -> D-II PacWest
Oklahoma Baptist -> GAC (fills that conf. out at 6 OK schools and 6 AR schools)
CSU-San Marcos -> D-II CCAA (finally accepted on 4th or 5th try...)
Embry-Riddle Aeronautic (FL) -> D-II SSC

REJECTED:
Cumberland (TN) and Georgetown (JY) - both have been invited to the D-II G-MAC
Westminster (UT) - invited to re-join D-II RMAC (they dorpped sports many years ago, I think their application was submitted late or right at the deadline).

The Senior Reports has the memo from the NCAA, which details the other advancements through the 3 year D-II transition process.

Do they have it out for G-MAC or something? Georgetown (KY) was rejected last year too right?

Need to reject a few to have applicants for next year.

I think the membership committee meeting each July is a valued boon-doggle.

The G-MAC is a Johnny-come-lately, so let's shaft them.

Georgetown, Cumberland, Westminster get their application fees refunded.
Look for all 3 to re-apply and get approved next year.

CSU-SM finally got in after several years of rejections.

The Senior Reporst has a story this morning about how G-MAC conference office is pushing Georgetown and Cumberland to seek clarification as to why they were rejected,
and potentially appealing their rejection.
