So will it be full membership in the Big South or membership to the A-Sun with a football affiliate relationship with the Big South?

Despite Liberty's whining, they are in the Big South for the foreseeable future and the Big South will have 10 members including Liberty. UNA's location also doesn't work for sports other than football, as there are currently no all-sports members in Georgia, Alabama, or even Tennessee.

UNA will be football only unless if the Big South can invite Kennesaw State for all sports (because either the Atlantic Sun is already mortally wounded, or has other replacements lined up). I think the Atlantic Sun may be more desirable for UNA as well (aside from football) as they get access to Nashville (Lipscomb), and suburban Atlanta (Kennesaw State). For a school that needs more students, those are excellent places to start.

Word's out that Jacksonville and Campbell giving some of their kids help, meaning the Pioneer might be shedding two southern members. So, Big South may have their football replacements...I wonder if they'd tap Jacksonville for full membership?

Jacksonville is really too far south for the Big South, and if Campbell is bringing football in the fold, there's no need to add any full members.

Campbell and Jacksonville playing Big South football would be a huge help. If the A-Sun would be so kind as to add North Alabama and possibly another D-2 school with football the A-Sun could be of great help to the Big South in the short term and in the long term could poise themselves to sponsor their own football league and even inheriting the Big South programs.

Auburn University at Montgomery and University of Montevallo (both are Alabama schools) will jump from the Peach Belt Conference to the Gulf South Conference effective 2017-18. AUM, reclassifying from NAIA to NCAA Div. 2, will spend all of one year in the Peach Belt. Montevallo was a member of the Gulf South from 1995-2009 before joining the Peach Belt.
