D2 membership applications are due Wednesday, will any be submitted? We don't have the watchlist from The Senior Reports anymore.

At this point, we may know who (if any) applied.

I had the following on my watch list, based on info from The Senior Report and previous rejections:

Carroll (Montana) NAIA-Frontier, looking to move to the D-2 GNAC
Purdue-Northwest (Indiana) NAIA-CCAC, looking to move to D-2 GLIAC (D-2 rejected them in 2016)
Georgetown (Kentucky) NAIA-Mid-South, looking to move to D-2 GMAC (D-2 rejected them in 2014, they did NOT re-apply the last 2 years)
Cumberland (Tennessee) NAIA-Mid-South, looking to move to D-2 GMAC (D-2 rejected them in 2014, they did NOT re-apply the last 2 years)

YIKES ! What happened to The Senior Report ?
It appears they got rid of all their college stuff, and now only have random info on HS spots on Twitter and Facebook ! SAD....

I see nothing worthwhile on NCAA Division 2 page. They will typically make an announcement after their meeting around July 10th or so...

So the GMAC goes from a 7 member conference (6 co-ed, 1 women's college), that was hastily put together with the remains of the West Virginia Conference and independent schools that weren't even full Division 2 members, to a 14 school behemoth with 20 championships including football, that has picked apart the Great Lakes Conference. The GMAC was born in 2012. Now THAT is a LOT of change for one young conference.

Basically a ton of NAIA schools from Ohio moved up to D-2 and joined the GLIAC.

GLIAC became huge and the Ohio schools for the most part have migrated to the GMAC.

My chart had the GMAC already at 14 (with Salem International - a nomadic WV school), however Wikipedia listed them as having left the GMAC to go back to being a D-2 Independent.

At one time, both NAIA Georgetown (KY) and Cumberland (TN) applied to D-2 (with invitation in hand from the GMAC). Both were denied, I think the D-2 committee denied Georgetown TWICE. I assume those 2 schools have given up on Division 2 (?)
