PSU-Hershey is the Medical School for the PSU system and nothing else. Its like the University of California, San Francisco in this way.

The only way PSU-Hershey could become a so called "Candy Grant" and make a profit for the medical school and the candy company is to do a movie in the opposite of "Super Size Me" where they get people addicted to Hershey's Kisses and Chocolate bars and then get them obese and then they would have to go to PSU-Hershey to get treatment. Sounds pretty wacked out to me.

Enimem has no relationship to Oakland University other than being from the Detroit area. David Hasselhoff of Baywatch, Knight Rider and cheesy music career fame and former soap opera star attended Oakland University for a brief period of time. Maybe Oakland University could become a Soap Opera Grant University in this same vein. Also actor-comedian Sinbad also attended Oakland University.

Correct, the Milton S. Hershey Medical Center (near Harrisburg).

Note also that Penn State acquired a Law School within the last few years: thingyinson Law School in Carlisle. There had been some recent debate about moving the facility to University Park (State College). Please note that this former private Law School, is not affiliated with thingyinson College, also located in Carlisle.

While Penn State has branch campuses, some quite small, comparatively; those units and the main campus itself, are NOT part of the 14 campus (with a couple of branch campuses themselves) of the Pennsylvania State Higher Education System.

These settings to catch offensive language are a bit much. It rhymes with Rickinson, replace the "R" with a "D". Gezzzz..

I have a question. How come that it's impossible to change a "church-affiliated" university or college [see its formats] into a campus of either a "state name" State U. @ "city name" or a U. of "state name" @ "city name":

(name) Chrstian
(name) Wesleyan
(name) Baptist
(name) Methodist
(name) Bible

I just want to be sure of it, just in case.

John

I'm doing little more than glancing at this thread... and my head hurts.

Most private schools DON'T WANT TO MARKET THEMSELVES AS PUBLIC SCHOOLS.

There's such a thing as TRADITION!

There's no profitable interest in turning all of American higher education into just another franchise scheme. This ain't McDonalds.

Thank you for your time, even though all you were reading was my desperate attempt to release pressure, lest my head explode.
