New Interstates
I-63: Connects I-10 in Mobile, Alabama to Future I-69/I-66 near Nortonville, Kentucky. Junctions with I-20/59 in Tuscaloosa, I-22 (nearly completed) in Northwest Alabama, and I-40 and I-24 in Tennessee. Finally gives Tuscaloosa a direct connection to Mobile. Connects to Indianapolis via I-69.
Re-routed/Extended Interstates
I-65/I-85: I-85 takes over I-65 from Montgomery to Mobile, eliminating one of the major doglegs in I-65. I-65 is then sent on a new alignment from Montgomery to I-10 through Dothan, Alabama before ending at Panama City, Florida.
I-16/I-20/I-30/I-57: I-16 is extended from I-75 through Georgia and Alabama (including Montgomery) to I-20/59 at Cuba, Alabama-the long-proposed extension of I-85. I-16 then takes over I-20 all the way until I-20's present day end in West Texas. I-20 is then split from I-59 in Tuscaloosa over or along US 82 through Mississippi and Arkansas, before meeting up with the present day I-30 at Texarkana. I-20 replaces all of I-30 in Texas, where it meets up with the former I-20, now I-16. I-57 is then extended to Texarkana over US 67 and the remainder of I-30. The I-30 designation is use for available elsewhere.
