Might we just say that Bisonfan is a mid major poster who does not understand the number 6 on BCS conference membership. Just for record, what type of math is taught at the school of the Bisons, there is a big difference from 5 to 6

Bisonfan,

The widespread misuse of the term "mid-major" just happens to be a pet peeve of mine.

And if the Tulane prez has his way, there will be no "BCS" and "non-BCS" conferences. Doing away with that distinction was one of the things the presidents agreed on. How successful they will be at that is a different matter, but they are trying. Theoretically, all 11 are BCS conferences under the new agreement. It just so happens that 6 automatically get bids every year.

The 5 big football conferences shouldn't need bids as they would easily supply 10 out of the 16 teams each year of a 16 team playoff.

The other 7 football conferences have a couple of decent teams each but are no where near the skill of the 5 major conferences.

There, fair enough?

Well you're obviously a math whiz!

Perhaps you'd care to explain something simple like finding the curvature of the vector r where r= t^3i + t^2j + tk?
