Oh yes.

How about a new bowl called the...

collegesportsinfo.com Bowl.

Played in wonderful Flagstaff, AZ or Terra Haute, IN.

You decide.

The thought of a bowl game at 7,200' elevation (Flagstaff) brings that ;D huge anarchist chaotic smile to my face. At least the Walkup Skydome makes the game environment slightly palatable under the normal circumstances there.

I'm not actually an anarchist, but it's fun to play one when the system stinks.

Walkup Skydome

University of Akron Zips (6-5) from the MAC vs.

Louisiana Tech Bulldogs (5-6 provided they beat the Rice Owls tonight) from the WAC

"...Looks like its going to be a good one Keith..." 8-)

I'm not sure that the Walkup Skydome has the attendance capacity to be certified, but I digress...what about the "5th BCS Bowl," and possible games slated for Denver and Toronto (and Indianapolis?)...just imagine the situation if I-A hadn't ever adopted OT...

I seem to remember the Liberty Bowl (1994) once discussing the possibilty of extending an invitation to I-AA Alcorn State (Steve McNair), but this scenario never coming to fruition...could this have been possible through a special exemption?

Also, it appears as though Army made three bowl appearances in the 1980s without the requisite number of I-A wins...the 1984 team (Cherry Bowl) had three I-A victories, the 1985 team (Peach Bowl) had four I-A victories, and the 1988 team (Sun Bowl) had five I-A victories...

Sir, or Mister, or what have you... ;D

We don't need no stinkin' capacity standards!

Of course, I do suspect at least a half dozen bowl games' full paid attendance would fit in Walkup Skydome. (In other words, people who actually paid for a ticket and attended, wasn't handed one for free, wasn't the beneficiary of a promotional tradeoff)

If my employer does its usual and starts passing out free tickets to the MPC Computer Bowl in Boise, 12:04 pm MST, December 27, anyone interested?

Fresno State vs Virginia

Don't know whose posterior was kissed to pull that one off.

Well Louisville came through and handed Tulane their 6th loss. Its up to Michigan St. to beat Hawaii in the last game of the regular season. It looks like Troy St. will get a bowl. The MAC gets at least 5 bowls. Its down to Hawaii and Akron for the Hawaii bowl. There are 56 teams qualified and willing for the 28 bowls. Hawaii would be 57. It would have been interesting if the ND players had refused to go.
