Post subject:  Long term implications of Hawaii in Fiesta Bowl

Hawaii has a good shot of duplicating Boise State's WAC win if they don't get a ridiculously bad draw, like playing LSU at the Sugar Bowl. Georgia at the Sugar bowl would be pretty tough too. That is practically a home game with SEC fans. If they land a sweet spot like the Fiesta against WV or Kansas or possibly even Missou....mmmmm....

I think the Fiesta might be Hawaii vs. ASU to have Hawaii and draw well. Hawaii might win that even though it is a home game for ASU.

Frankly, if that happens and Hawaii wins in dramatic come from behind fashion, you might see a trending of the Fiesta Bowl towards WAC teams in the future (!!!) That would be quite a fight between the BCS schools who have created this system to keep out lower tier academic schools and the Fiesta Bowl, an organization interested in delivering a competitive game that delivers a packed audience and good TV ratings.
