Article discussing plan by BCS Commissioners to make any possible BCS change recommendations to the BCS Presidents this June.According to Mr. Swofford some of the proposed MWC BCS changes may be recommended.
It will be interesting to see if the MWC request for a BCS autobid is recommended.Link at http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2009/f ... index.html

Denver Post article with comments from MWC Commish regarding yesterday's BCS Congressional hearing in which he testified.According to Thompson, there are at least two parts of the MWC BCS proposal that "may"be incorporated into the BCS scheme prior to 2014.He mentioned the selection committee and automatic qualifying standards as a couple od possibilities for discussion at the June BCS meetings in Colorado Springs.Link at http://www.denverpost.com/headlines/ci_12276660

Thanks for the link. It'll be interesting to see if the BCS does in fact incorporate any of the MWC's proposed changes. A selection committee could do wonders to shake up the BCS bids....Illinois going to the Rose Bowl recently comes to mind.

Brewpoke, thanks for the post and for using the CSI userbar in your MWC MB posts.

Looks like MWC is really pushing it's plan B approach which relies on legal, political and persuasive pressure in an effort to squeeze out BCS concessions to include a BCS autobid.
Salt Lake Trib article with a little status as to how this strategy appears to be working prior to next month's BCS meeting in Colorado springs.Link at http://www.sltrib.com/sports/ci_12336685

Typical negotiations: ask for the moon (playoffs) and settle for a MWC BCS bid (which is what they wanted all along)
