OK, mid-week and the Fiesta Bowl is over and the Ala.-Tex. game is to come shortly.
So, at the moment of saying......
Boise State may really be the best this year!
If 'Bama wins, does Saban's salary double and Alabama residents property taxes go up?
I suppose it's also clearcut if Texas wins, and will not have to endure again the tears of Mac Brown for the influencing of polls-------in reality though, could still be the second best team in Texas. Take a "SECOND" and think about it....
I dunno, I'm thinking, pre-maturely of course, Boise State will be locked in at #2 (or #3) in the final poll being next to Florida either way. The Ala.-Tex. loser will be #4 unless close thriller and potential overtime could force a #3 result.
While 'Bama is currently my 9th favorite

SEC school; the conference remains the favorite. "Roll Tide"!
......but that little school in the northwest (Boise State) has been impressive, and it's been sustained. The BCS mantra, media tycoons, bowl executives, need to either make the system more fair or stop the silliness of crowning a nat'l champion based on subjective polls, computer programs, and other variables short of, or contrary to, a playoff.
If it's all about who remains unbeaten or finishes with the fewest loses; then one more game after this slate of bowls appears needed to end any remaining controversy. Improved BCS matchups and all being subject to conference championship games may help.
