Although the members of this board nailed the answer to this first trivia question (nicknames that don't end in the letter "s" ) very quickly, I believe the members who did participate found it fun/interesting. The combined knowledge of the members of this board continues to amaze me…

I thought that I would take a shot at creating my own set of trivia questions. The first trivia question had a limited set of possibilities (117 division 1A schools) to choose from, so it really was a matter of going through the list of nicknames to figure out the answer.

For the set of trivia questions that I created below, I researched the questions on the Internet. With the search capabilities availabile on the Internet, it is often easy to locate information fairly quickly, so I am requesting that you don't use this set of trivia questions as purely a search exercise. Thanks, I hope we can have some fun with this.

Willie Lanier, who played with the KC Chiefs back in the day, was commonly known as the "Honey Bear" I do believe.

daddywags, Sorry no. Although, Camp did coach at one of the same schools, as one of these three double Hall of Fame members. I'll start giving some hints on all of the questions tomorrow.

I'm going to take a stab at some of the other questions:

1. Ara Parghesian (sp?) don't think he attended college.
2. William Shakespeare, Wally Butts, John Heisman, and Gomer Jones are not in the College Football Hall of Fame as players. Butts might be in there as a coach. (UGa great)
