The Rutgers BOG had their meeting this morning.

The good news is that the Rutgers athletic program will stay in the BE,at least for the time being.

The bad news is that the stadium expansion project is being scaled back.

No word on whether (other than Bob Mulcahy)any other scapegoats were required.Link at http://www.nj.com/news/index.ssf/2008/12/rutgers_stadium_expansion_plan.html

Even with the bad economy, blog article reporting that all of the Sugar bowl tickets except for a small portion of the Utah allotment have been sold.Since all non school allotment tix have been sold bowl officials consider this a technical sellout. This is owing primarily to fact that rabid alabama fans live within reasonable driving distance of NO.Link at http://blog.al.com/rapsheet/2008/12/roughly_4500_tickets_left_for.html

Panther thanks for the post.Apparently the 4500 number on monday is now about 4300 according to article out of Alabama.
Looks like Bama fans will probably help to buy up any unused tix from Utah allotment. Link at http://www.tuscaloosanews.com/article/20081217/NEWS/812160208/0/SPORTS01

Looks like UNC stadium expansion plans have been at least temporarily scaled back probably due to the current bad economy. Link to blog article at http://obsfifty.blogspot.com/2008/12/boxes-dropped-from-kenan-expansion.html

Panther, thanks for the post. The Humanitarian bowl does not appear to match schools that are located within reasonable driving distance of Boise and in this bad economy,it may suffer for it at the turnstiles.
