A thread to discuss the matchups/teams selcted/anything else about the BCS games for 2009-10.


Personally, I think it's good that both TCU and Boise State got in, but I'm not as excited about them playing each other. Part of the "BCS Buster" intrigue is to see if the smaller conference teams can play with the big teams. Now we don't get the chance to see that this year. I would have liked to see Boise State vs. Cincinnati and Florida vs. TCU. Oh well...

Also, before this year has the BCS ever chosen the entire Top 10 of the BCS standings? We get that this year (1 v. 2, 3 v. 5, 4 v. 6, 7 v. 8, 9 v. 10).

Well, I hate the BCS and want to see a 16-team playoff, but to stay on topic, I'll just point out that this year's BCS bowl match-ups WILL result in at-least 2 undefeated / untied teams after it's all said and done.

Winner of NC Bowl (Alabama v. Texas) will be undefeated.
Winner of Fiesta (?) (Boise State v. TCU) will be undefeated.
If Cincy beats Florida in Sugar (?), they would be a third undefeated team.

So we conclude that Alabama v. Texas winner is the best team, based on polls. It stinks. We can do better.
