Week 2 Upsets

Which of these 13 Week 2 games are most likely to be an upset.
Northern Illinois over Maryland
West Virginia over Wisconsin
Southern Miss over Cal
Miami (OHIO) over Iowa
Oklahoma St. over Nebraska
Colorado over Colorado St.
Washington over Ohio St.
Clemson over Georgia
Vanderbilt over Mississippi
Fresno St. over Tennessee
MSU over Oregon
Louisville over UK
Tulane over TCU
AND who will win in the Auburn vs. USC game.

Some of these I wouldn't term as upsets, but of the one's you've listed, I suspect Clemson will defeat Georgia. In Clemson, the Bulldogs have suffered a lot of preseason injuries and they lost a lot of their offensive line last year. Not good, especially when you also lost your leading rusher to the NFL. I suspect Georgia's potential QB controversey will also rear it's ugly head once more, especially if they fall behind early. 24-21, Clemson.

Auburn will beat USC. Close for three quarters, but then the prairie boys will begin to employ their rushing game to it's fullest and slowly cripple and wither the Men of Troy.

GunnerFan, I think that Georgia will win. They have some of the best QB's and WR's in the SEC. Their defense is great besides their linebackers. The injuries won't be that bad. Marc Richt is a better coach than Tommy Bowden. Clemson is good, but not that good. Georgia's RB is OK but they won't really need him because David Greene is so good.
Georgia is a top 15 team and will win 24-17
I agree that Auburn will beat USC though.

I'll bite,

I take it the first team listed is always the underdog? (the reason I ask is that Southern Miss over Cal thing)

If that is true, I'll pick Colorado State over Colorado..
I don't think this a major upset at all CSU if well-motivated.

And USC over Auburn. The USC passing game will create problems for Tigers, and the Auburn defense will wilt a bit toward the end...

Javaman, I guess So. Miss and Cal should not be up there. ??? Colorado is supposed to be the underdog in that game. Colorado is no where near as good as they were last year, CSU is better and a top 25 team, and CSU won last year. Colorado may struggle to get .500 .

Sorry and apologies, I didn't make too much sense in that previous post. I just noticed Colorado WAS listed as the underdog... Too many things going on at once tonight I guess...

I'll try again. Why don't I go with Louisville over Kentucky..that wouldn't be muchof an upset either, but at least you have Louisville listed as the underdog.

I agree . . . Louisville over kentucky. I'll also take West Virginia over Wisconsin. 8-)

I think Kentucky will beat Louisville. Kentucky has a great offense and is more talented and the game is at Kentucky. I think Wisconsin is very talented and will beat West Virginia. West Virginia will not be as good as they were last year.

Appreciate the note back on the other board.
Cal is 3 pt. favorite over So.Miss so I guess this is an upset if you take it. If there defense is the mark then it will be interesting game because it appears Cal's offense is there strength.

As for my upsets...
I like Louisville over Kentucky
SC over Auburn
Okie St. over Nebraska (heart pick :) )

Is it too late to take No.Illinois? ;D
