Freaked you are the man. I posted your link to Cedarville on the NAIA site with a quote from the guy that told me there is no way they'd move to D-II.

Most of the conf/div movement action will be in D-II for you right now since no one can go to D-I.

I hear rumors on the NAIA board that Cumberland(TN) and Lambuth don't have the money to move to D-II. I wonder if its just sour grapes from the NAIA fans. Can you see if you can find anything. Also stick with the AMC there should be at least 2 more schools moving to D-II from that conference. See if you can find out if they are going to go ahead and start a new Ohio Conf. in D-II.

Fresno St Alum, thanks for the post. You can post this one also if you like.

Found posted Mount Vernon BB HC position dated TODAY.

Apparently the Mount Vernon Nazarene to D-2 announcement is pending since the job description says that the school is currently in the process of transition from NAIA to NCAA D-2.
If this info is accurate I would expect formal announcement soon.Link at http://careers.cccu.org/jobdetail.cfm?job=3097710

Thanks

Yeah, I've noticed quite a bit of sour grapes from some NAIA fans on that board, however, someone hit the nail on the head in that they could do a much better job at promoting themselves than they do now.

Anywho, here's an article about Southern Oregon considering a move to D-II:
http://www.dailytidings.com/apps/pbcs.d ... /903110307

Apparently they're looking into the possibilities of being a football affiliate of the Great Northwest while keeping the rest of their sports in the NAIA, dropping football (not likely, since it does bring in fans), or making the full jump to DII.
That could be a pretty good GNWC football lineup: UBC, Central Washington, Dixie State, Humboldt State, Simon Fraser, Southern Oregon, Western Oregon. That would also leave Azusa Pacific as the only NAIA football school in the West outside of the Frontier Conference, which is primarily Northern Rockies-based.

Seriously, its like we(me,Tarkio,Freaked,Quinn) were separated at birth! When I would look for stuff by myself and troll message boards this stuff took forever. I'd e-mail ADs and SIDs pretending I wanted to play for them so they would give me info instead of ignore me.

The was a similar article on the GNAC section of the D-II board about SOU. I think WWU website where it came from used the article you posted. It makes so much sense for them to be an all sport D-II school. The Alaska road trip would suck and maybe the MSU-Billings but the other 6 members are close. Plus look at the money they'd save on football. Not having to go to S.Dakota and Southern Cal for games.

Found this on the D-II board from the save WWU football site about Menlo looking at D-II. They'd be PWC except football which would be in the GNAC.

From the Save WWU football folks:

****************************************
We've just learned that Menlo College is looking for DII affiliation as early as 2010-11. It appears they are reaching out specifically to the GNAC, but their inquiries have been more general in nature. Menlo is currently a DIII/NAIA dual affiliate; they are going to compete at the NAIA only level until the possibility exists for them to move into DII. They stated that in order to leave their current DIII football conference that they would need to secure scheduling partners starting in 2010.
