WHY (World Hunger Year) is proud to announce their 29th annual Hungerthon fundraiser, which will take place during Thanksgiving week. As a partnership of New York area radio stations, corporations, and small business, Hungerthon unites the community with a common cause – the fight against hunger and poverty. From November 20-24 and December 13-17, more than 12 million people in the New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut will tune in to their favorite radio stations to learn about the alarming prevalence of hunger and poverty in our area. The donations made by listeners through pledge phone calls will support WHY’s many anti-hunger programs. Listeners will also have the opportunity to bid on one-of-a-kind sports and entertainment memorabilia.
An NCAA March Madness package will be auctioned off on November 20, 8am on 660 WFAN. The package includes four tickets to the CBS Sports Party on the first day and night of March Madness for the NCAA Tournament. The party is at the CBS Broadcast Center on West 57 Street and features large screens displaying all the games. Food and beverages are served all day. A behind-the-scenes tour and introduction to CBS Sports announcers (if available) is also included. Photos of all auction items will soon be posted at
