Depending on the Air Force conference situation, Texas and a few others could try to drum up a men's lacrosse league under the MPSF banner. Of course, given that any new men's programs likely will be at schools also adding women's programs, the next lacrosse conference could be the Big XII.

Texas would also need to find an ESPN-friendly league to be able to keep feeding the LHN. That automatically cuts out the Big Ten.

If Texas adds lacrosse, I think the Big East would be where they end up unless they go independent. They took Florida and Vanderbilt as affiliates for women's lax, and with Denver nearby it would make travel that way easier.

The Big East is actually in Fox's camp as well, but other than that I would agree with you. Also Denver only has its men's team in the Big East, so the UT women would be MPSF bound.

Has minimum 6 for an AQ:
(7) AmEast: Vermont, Albany, Hartford, Stony Brook, Binghamton, UMBC, UM-Lowell
(6) Big East: Gtown, Nova, St Johns, Providence, Marquette & Denver (Summit)
(6) Big Ten: Michigan, Ohio St, Penn St, Maryland, Rutgers & John Hopkins (D3)
(6) CAA: Hofstra, Drexel, UDel, Towson, UMass (A10) & Fairfield (MAAC)
(7) Ivy: Brown, Cornell, Dartmouth, Harvard, Princeton, Penn & Yale (no Columbia)
(6) MAAC: Canisius, Siena, Marist, Manhattan, Quinnipiac, Detroit Mercy (Horizon)
(7) NEC LAX: Robert Morris, Mt St Mary's, Wagner, Sacred Heart, Bryant, St Joe's (A10) & Hobart (D3)
(8) Patriot: Holy Cross, Colgate, Army, Lafayette, Lehigh, Bucknell. Loyola, Navy
(8) SoCon: Mercer, Furman, VMI, High Point (Big South), Richmond (A10), Jacksonville (ASun), Air Force (MWC) & Bellamine (D2)

Still needs 1 for the AQ...

Any chance of Atlantic 10 Lacrosse in the future? UMass, Richmond, and St. Joseph's only need 3 more, possibly fewer if the league were willing to use affiliates.

They would need 6 for the AQ.

If they took UMass, Richmond, and St Joe's they'd still need 3 more for the AQ.

In addition the CAA would also need at least 1 more to retain their AQ.

Either could steal Bellamine from the SoCon but they still would need at least 3 more schools to add LAX to have enough to make this work...

The most obvious realignment would be is for the A10 and CAA to team up (like the ASun/SoCon did) to jointly sponsor the sport (but St Joe's just left the CAA so it's unlikely to happen). Fairfield should play in the MAAC like everyone else (had the opportunity to join but just chose the CAA instead). Detroit Mercy should be in the Big East and Denver should be in the SoCon with Air Force.
