ACC

Atlantic

Boston College
Clemson
Florida State
Maryland
North Carolina State
Wake Forest

Coastal

Duke
Georgia Tech
Miami FL
North Carolina
Virginia
Virginia Tech

*No changes necessary at the moment. Even though BC is an odd fit with the other schools geographically, they still bring a lot to the table.

Big East

North

*Army
Connecticut
*Penn State
Pittsburgh
Rutgers
Syracuse

South

Cincinnati
Louisville
*Memphis
*Navy
South Florida
West Virginia

*Penn State makes the jump to a conference that makes much more sense georgraphically than the Big Ten. Bringing in the two military academies makes geographical sense as well as bringing in nationally established fanbases and tv markets. Memphis is one of the fastest rising programs out there, and the BE gets a foothold into the Memphis tv market. With the rise of WVU and the resurgence of Penn State combined with the rise of other smaller programs brings the Big East back into the limelight as a deserving BCS conference.

Big Ten

Illinois
Indiana
Iowa
Michigan
Michigan State
Minnesota
Northwestern
*Notre Dame
Ohio State
Purdue
Wisconsin

*Notre Dame takes the place of Penn State and fits perfectly into a group of schools with similar location and academic prowess. Doubtful move, but if ever ND decided to join a conference, the Big Ten makes the most sense.

Big XII

North

Colorado
Iowa State
Kansas
Kansas State
Missouri
Nebraska

South

Baylor
Oklahoma
Oklahoma State
Texas
Texas A&M
Texas Tech

*No changes necessary at the moment.

Conference USA

East

East Carolina
*Louisiana Tech
Marshall
Southern Miss
UAB
UCF

West

Houston
Rice
SMU
Tulane
Tulsa
UTEP

*With Memphis making the jump to the Big East, Louisiana Tech makes a move that has been anticipated for some time and jumps ship in the WAC to join a conference that makes much, much more sense for them geographically and at the same time, making a jump up in quality of competition.

MAC

East

Akron
Bowling Green
Kent State
Miami OH
Ohio
Toledo

West

Ball State
Central Michigan
Eastern Michigan
Northern Illinois
*Southern Illinois
Western Michigan

*The MAC dumps Buffalo, which drops back down to 1-AA after years of futility at the 1-A level. Southern Illinois is in one of the best positions of any 1-AA level school to make the jump to 1-A. SIU instantly becomes a rival for NIU and makes the MAC much more competitive in a couple of years. Toledo makes the jump to the Eastern division to make room for SIU, which makes sense for Toledo as the two other Ohio schools are in the East also.

Mountain West

Mountain

Air Force
*Boise State
Brigham Young
Colorado State
Utah
Wyoming

Pacific

*Fresno State
*Nevada
New Mexico
San Diego State
TCU
UNLV

*The MWC raids the top three schools from the WAC in Boise State, Fresno State and Nevada. Each of these three schools are very solid competition that instantly push the MWC to at least the same level as CUSA and possibly maybe even a little higher. Fresno State and SDSU are reunited as rivals in the same conference, as are Nevada and UNLV. TCU is still an oddball in the conference geographically-speaking, but they are still an elite team in the conference and have ties to many of these teams from their days in the WAC when it was a 16-team super-conference back in the mid-late 1990's.

Pac-10

Arizona
Arizona State
California
Oregon
Oregon State
Southern California
Stanford
UCLA
Washington
Washington State

*No changes necessary at this moment.

SEC

East

Florida
Georgia
Kentucky
South Carolina
Tennessee
Vanderbilt

West

Alabama
Arkansas
Auburn
Louisiana State
Mississippi
Mississippi State

*No changes necessary at this moment.

Sun Belt

Arkansas State
Florida Atlantic
Florida International
Louisiana-Lafayette
Louisiana-Monroe
*Missouri State
Middle Tennessee
North Texas
Troy
*Western Kentucky

*The Sun Belt adds two more schools to get their number up to ten schools. Missouri State and Western Kentucky have strong up and coming programs at the 1-AA level, and can be expected to become competitive in the Sun Belt in a few years.

WAC

Idaho
*Montana
*Montana State
New Mexico State
*Northern Arizona
*Sacramento State
San Jose State
Utah State

*The WAC takes another major hit and loses another four schools. As a result, they raid the Big Sky conference and grab both Montana and Montana State, who bring two of the best programs in 1-AA and give the WAC a much bigger identity in the western mountain region of the country. Sacramento State becomes another strong addition and complements SJSU. Northern Arizona couples very well with NMSU as well. The overall look and geography of this once-jumbled conference improves dramatically.

Independent

*Hawai'i

*Temple drops back down to 1-AA and Hawaii leaves the WAC to once again become an independent. Although the WAC makes the most sense for this school conference-wise, they are still not a good general fit for conference football at all. Their remote location can become a financial burden for their other conference members. By becoming an independent once more, they are free to schedule as many marquee games as they like with whoever they want, without having to worry about the annual gripes of conference members over travel costs and the long trips to and from the islands.

I think that Portland State would be better than Northern Arizona.

Pundl71, I like your Big East design. But Lash reads the thoughts of Big East Presidents and thinks MT was really bright in dumping Miami, BC, & Va tech.
Lash don't think there are public relations. Even if the conference is unhappy, they will not show public dissatifaction. Any of the football eight would fawn endlessly if another feasible, true anchor BCS conference came calling.
The Big East is almighty according to Lash. Don't fit with the history, nor will it the future.
If you include Big East in any fantasy change you get attacked.
Big East offers eight in BCS. They need replaced with cusa and mwc. Big East and wac about same level. Special provisions, or a new conference could be arranged for West Virginia like was done for Notre Dame.
The ncaa needs to address Big East riding everyone else and trying to flood ncaa tourneys with 16 teams by-gones such as Providence and Seton Hall.
Notre Dame will not play Big East football. Big East is too small and 8th or 9th best conference. West Virginia, TCU, UTEP, Fresno State all same levels so Big East does not need BCS. The fine ones went to the ACC. Big Ten don't want any of them, they have Penn State. Penn State top east area school by far.

Now Lasheen, move aside. There is only one flip-flop version of Lash and that's the fabulous Lashette! Ask Tigersharktwo, he knows the top gal of the west and Lash is no eastern boy but his heart is in the right place. There is Dale Evans, Ma Barker, Mae West, Annie Oakley of the olden days, but now there's Lashette!
Lashette endorses Tigersharkstwo's plan. Villanova to 1-A, maybe Georgetown, 5 game Notre Dame associate for fb, affiliates army & Navy, and the top bowl package with new Big Apple and Toronto bowls. Nothing could be more perfect and my sheepherding pals out here have nothing to match it yet.

The fabulous Lashette!
