One of the biggest bottlenecks of upgrading to FBS is getting your stadium upgraded to sufficient capacity.

FBS minimum attendance is 17,000 per home game. They don't really enforce it that much yet, but one day they may have to make an example or two.

Anyway, if 17K is the minimum, they are really going to demand you have at least a 17K stadium. So...Which FCS schools would have stadiums with over 17K capacities?

I think once you consider that your attendance goes up playing at a higher level and most of these schools are doing quite well at the FCS level, that any of the schools on this list could successfully make the jump.

I personally would try to have at least a 3-4K stadium capacity "cushion" over the NCAA's minimum attendance average number to make up for the occasional fan-unfriendly matchup, but barring that playing one "remote" home game against a big draw every two years at a larger venue can get a school over the hump.

(ie. Idaho playing Wash State as the home team at Washington State. maybe GA Southern hosting UCF in Jacksonville. That kind of thing.)

UTSA will play at the Alamodome, so they should be good too. Texas State, Sam Houston, Jacksonville State, and Lamar have some upgrading to do.

I think the NCAA specifically banned counting the "Idaho hosts Wazzu in Pullman" shtick as an Idaho home game. HOWEVER, Idaho has done that in S**ttle at Qwest Field against Wazzu.
