Covenant and Huntingdon are still floating around since the rest of their conf. left them. I wonder if they get an invite to join the 8 down the road. Huntingdon has fb too. The New conf, has 5 fb members. I wonder if they'll allow the 2 SCAC school to be fb affiliates.

Fresno -

In addition to Covenant and Huntington, are Thomas More, Transylvania, and Spalding (all in Kentucky) out-liers in their respective conferences ?
I don't know if any of them play FB, or if they might find the geography of this new conference appealing...
Same with Arkansas, Louisiana and Mississippi schools (4 in all) in the American Southwest Conference (ASC) ?

What do you think ?

Regards,
Tute

Thomas More plays football. Spalding and Transylvania do not.

Of the others mentions (Ark., La., Ms.):
Louisiana College and Mississippi College play football. Ozarks (AR) and Rust (MS) do not.

Tute, Goshokie is our best D-III guy, so whatever he said, I'm behind that. I just posted the 2 that didn't have a real home and I left Rust off because they're HBCU and don't seem to want to be in a conf.

Article out of Colorado Springs with comments from Colorado College AD who believes that the recently depleted NCAA D-3 SCAC will aggressively go after some NAIA schools like Westminster College as new members that would in effect trade reduced scholarship cost for increased travel expenses.Link at http://www.gazette.com/sports/college-1 ... wayne.html

I bet the 4 Texas schools will be happy about a Utah school  Hey let's get a further outlier than CC. They should hit up every NAIA, Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Nebraska school and Nebraska Wesleyan. Also Johnson & Wales(CO). Most of the Texas/Oklahoma NAIA would rather be D-II. Most of Neb. NAIA would rather be D-III if they were willing. Most of the Kan NAIA are probably not looking to leave the NAIA

Is La Sierra University continuing its membership in the NAIA? The NAIA website does not have them on their list of member institutions.

Fisher leaving for the AMC which will have 5 schools including them, 3 of which applied to D-II. How is that a conference?
