Did anybody happen to catch that Benedictine-Springfield (IL) is now in the American Midwest Conference and that Mid-Continent is thinking about going there as well. The rest of whats left of the TAAC might want to explore the AMC as an option for relocation.

yeah, I read it on the NAIA board. The Bene-Spring was in the works a while ago, there might be an old post about it on here from last year but nothing was official.

New Sports
Two new sports teams—football and cross country—launched in August, with a third, softball, to kick off in spring 2012. Five additional sports are slated to be announced for the 2012-13 school year.

New Mascot
This week, the student body learned of yet another “first” when a new sports mascot was unveiled at its weekly chapel gathering. Several student athletes debuted the Skyhawk as the new rallying symbol of Point University.
