Freaked -

The info about Case Western and Carnegie-Mellon to the PAC (for FB only) was in the previous post of yours.

And in addition to Wash U (St. Louis) to the SAA (for FB only), University of Chicago is also going to SAA (for FB only).

Regards,
Tute

The SAA will now have an interesting annual football matchup between a former Big Ten school (Chicago) and a former SEC school (Sewanee).

From the Senior Report :
Carlow College and Point Park College (both in Pittsburgh) have been accepted into the KIAC (Kentucky) conf. in NAIA.

Both had been in the ever-shrinking American Mid-east Conference (AMC).

The article states that this could drive AMC membership down to 2....

I have the following schools listed in AMC (excluding the 2 defectors): Wilberforce (Ohio), Daemen (NY), Fisher (Mass.)
Daemen has confirmed that they will again apply to NCAA D-II this June.
Fisher is REALLY isolated, I don't know why they thought NAIA AMC membership was appropriate.

The KIAC announcement mentioned that the KIAC will increase membership to 12, including Cincinnati Christian.
I did not have that school listed anywhere in my master list.
Would anyone know whether Cincinnati Christian is the same as Wilberforce ?

(I tried to wiki it this morning, but that's not goinng so well, due to their "black-out...)
Thanks.

Thanks, Freaked.

I never heard when Cincinnati Christian joined the KIAC, so I suspected that PERHAPS Wilberfoce changed their name.
Clearly NOT the case.
So Wilberforce must still be in the AMC (and one would suspect, looking to move elsewhere sooner rather than later).

Appreciate the info...

Wilberforce is a HBCU. Cincinnati Christian came from the NCCAA to the NAIA a couple of years ago.

Thanks Fresno.

SO the name Wilberforce rang a bell.....
After some research, I found it.
Wilberforce Thornapple was the little havoc-wreaking boy in the comic strip "the Born Loser".

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Born_Loser
(I like the coat of Arms - straight jacket, royal flush (minus one card), Form 1040, broken glasses)

Apparently the name Wilberforce is that of an English bishop who tried to "poo-poo" Darwin's theory of evolution.
He was sort of ridiculed later, for wanting to fight scientific discovery where it conflicted with church teachings....i
(I had to look that up)...
