Being the social butterfly that I am, I was sitting on the couch at a Christmas party Christmas eve thinking about how much better the SWC and Big 8 were than the current crappy Big 12 setup. So I devised, with the help of my buddy Jack Daniels, and plan with seven BCS conferences (the addition of the SWC) and a fifth BCS bowl, the Cotton Bowl. Here's what I scribbled on a napkin: (Bear in mind the influence of Jack Daniels while reading this)
Big 12 (The new one)
East- OU, Okla. State, Missouri, KSU, Kansas, Iowa State
West- BYU, Utah, AFA, Colo. State, Colorado, Nebraska
Southwest Conference
Texas, Tx. Tech, Texas A&M, Baylor, TCU, Arkansas, SMU, Rice, Houston, UTEP
Southeastern Conference
East- Tennessee, Florida, Miami, UGA, UK, So. Carolina
West- Auburn, 'Bama, LSU, Ole Miss, Miss. State, Vandy
Big East
WVU, Va. Tech, Pitt, BC, UConn, Syracuse, Rutgers, Louisville, Villanova (1-A FB)
ACC
Stays the same
Big Ten
East- Ohio State, PSU, Indiana, Purdue, Michigan, MSU
West- ND, NWU, Iowa, Illinois, Wisconsin, Minnesota
**This allows for a conference championship game in football
Pac-10
Stays the same
Okay, I'm too lazy to write up all the mid-majors, but my basic plan would be Navy and UCF to C-USA, Utah State, Idaho, Hawaii and NMSU to the MWC, La. Tech and Troy State to the Sunbelt, and No. Texas to the WAC along with some possible 1-A additions (Montana, SW Texas State?).
Time for me to get slammed.....
