Nrthrn95,

You need to do some homework regarding rivalries. Just because teams are in the same conference doesn't mean that thjey are rivals. South Florda and West Virginia - talk about nothing happening!

USF does have a minor rivalry in UAB. Unfortunately, USF does not have any rivalries in the Big East. That, IMO, is the biggest problem regarding security in the BE.

Big East
Louisville-Cincinnati, possibly WV, Pitt and USF
Syracuse-UConn
Pittsburgh-West Virginia
Rutgers-South Florida
Both Rutgers AND USF could use a rival-they are simply paired by default.

BC-UConn and Syracuse-UConn as football rivalries? You're joking, right? The closest thing that UConn has to a football rivalry is when they were I-AA and played UMass. Once again Nrthern95, being in a conference together does not necessaryily make you rivals.

An online resource that really helps for this thread:

http://football.stassen.com/records/

Here, you can view the all-time records across a series and the scores to each individual game, to the extent that they are known. Try Army-Navy, for example.

Should you use "travel partners" instead of "rivals". By the way, that American-Colgate rivalry is absolutely hot.

Colgate has only one rival in one sport and that would be Cornell in ice hockey.

If anything, I think Nrthern95 should be barred from making any more posts in this thread because it seems as through he (or she) makes posts just for the sake of making posts.
