Technically, there are no Southern Baptist colleges or universities-the schools are all connected with state Baptist bodies, which voluntarily cooperate with the national convention. Most of these schools are not as conservative as the national convention. Some schools have a bigger Baptist tie than others..some are more conservative than others. All, however, would be to the left of Bob Jones University.

In recent years, Wake Forest, Richmond, Furman, and Stetson (among others) have cut official ties with their state Baptist conventions. They are Baptist in history and heritage only.

FWIW, all of the above schools have a football team at some level, except Mercer, Williams Baptist and Brewton-Parker.

The American Southwest Conference (Division III) has several Baptist institutions as members:

Hardin-Simmons
Howard Payne
Mary Hardin-Baylor
East Texas Baptist
Louisiana College
Mississippi College

They join non-Baptist FB schools McMurry, Austin College, Sul Ross State, and Texas Lutheran, and non-FB schools Concordia (TX), Schreiner, LeTourneau, Univ of the Ozarks (AR), UT-Dallas, and UT-Tyler.

How about the Missouri Synod Conference (Lutheran Church).

Most of these schools are lower Division NCAA teams or NAIA teams:

Concordia University--Ann Arbor, MI
Concordia University--Austin, TX
Concordia University--Bronxville, NY
Concordia University--Irvine, CA
Concordia University--Mequon, WI
Concordia University--Portland, OR
Concordia University--River Forest, IL
Concordia University--St. Paul, MN
Concordia University--Selma, AL
Concordia University--Seward, NE

Plus, Concordia College--Moorhead, MN (but this is part of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America and not the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod which are two separate churches/denominations -- The ELCA is Scandinavian-ethnically based and the LCMS is German-ethnically based).

A forgotten rivalry is the old Georgia Tech-Auburn rivalry (they are about two hours away from each other, after all). They started playing in 1902 and played each other nearly ever year until conference obligations forced them to stop playing in 1987. The series was recently revived for what was originaly a 3-game deal (now just home-and-home, though) with Tech winning two years ago.

Overall, they met 85 times, and Tech would currently have more games against them than against Georgia had the rivalry continued unabated.

Big Twelve:
Baylor & Texas Tech
Texas & Texas A&M
Oklahoma & Oklahoma State
Colorado & Nebraska
Iowa State & Missouri
Kansas & Kansas State

Like everyone else, this list had me scratching my head.

I am taking this to be primarily football rivalries because we don't have heated basketball rivalries in Texas since Arkansas left and Tom Penders was forced out.

The ones i see in the Big XII, are the big ones:
UT/OU
OU/OSU
UT/A&M
OU/Nebraska
Nebraska/Colorado

and maybe a few lesser ones
Tech/A&M (Not a huge rivalry, but IMO a growing one over the last 20 years (especially when A&M was under R.C. Slocum). Tech will pull an upset on A&M at the worst time for the Aggies.)
Kansas/KSU? (no idea)
