Sorry, but I'm terribly peeved right now and have no where else to vent.

Terrell Owens get his way and will be traded to Philidelphia! An NFL star player didn't get to go where he wants and collect a $10 mil bonus; Surely "the man" must be at fault, says the players union. So they convince the powers that be to reexamine the trade to the Eagles. Apparently the fact that if he can be traded SF had the right to trade him to Baltimore in the first place doesn't matter. Never mind that it was the agents fault, either, or that Baltimore was on Owens' short list before he learned he wouldn't get a signing bonus.

I could care less about Baltimore, but this is a tremendously bad precedent. I hope Terrell rots and that Phili sucks until he's gone.

Between this and AI's recent episode, Phily is having one lousy week for exhibiting character in pro sports.

Having vigorously submitted my "yawp" unto the cyber realm, I feel much better now.

Gunner, I feel your pain. What a crock! ???

Seahawk - You're absolutely right. Not only is this a good example of why college sports are better, but I truly doubt if the University of Michigan will EVER entertain the thought of moving to Los Angeles to get a better stadium deal... How's that for a prediction. ;)

No, but they do like to think of the Rose Bowl as their second home! ;) (Nice one, Gumby! Nice one.)

Thanks for riding along guys.

just out of curiousity, what do you think the arrbirator was going to rule. i figure that they reached this settlement to make everyone happy. the ravens didnt want an unhappy owens and something in return, philly wanted to make sure they got him, and the 49ers just wanted to make sure they got something out of this whole ordeal.

if i had to guess i would say owens would have, or at least should have, been told TOUGH!!!!! your guy screwed up, deal with it, no rules were broken and you ARE NOT going to be treated with favortism. do you think this would have gone on as long as it did if it was some offensive linemen who was unhappy. owens should be in baltimore because that is where he was traded, it was his guys's fault he was not a free agent.

do you think the us government would let you go to an arrbitrator or have any sympathy for you if you didnt get your taxes filed in on the due date?

I didn't mean to infer the Seattle Seahawks. I'm am aware of the UNC-Wilmington Seahawks and really enjoyed their NCAA tournament win over USC in 2002. I love to see the Trojans lose. If I remember right, you guys also gave Indiana a good run for their money too that year.

Hope to see you in the dance again soon. :D

"100% agreed. just another reason why college sports are better."

Well, except for the blatant hypocrisy that allows illiterate "student-athletes" such as Dexter Manley and Kevin Ross to compete at the highest levels of college football and college basketball, respectively. Well, at least I will sleep well tonight knowing that the female swimmer who doubles as a sociology major featured in the commercials crams for tests and takes exams."

Also, how did Paul Hornung get into Notre Dame if they have such high academic standards for student-athletes? Granted, that was over fifty years ago, but still...

Sorry, but I forgot to mention that besides being a complete jackass the fact that Terrell Owens wanted very badly to play in Philadelphia of all places (did he forget he was black?) makes me further question his intelligence and lack of foresight. How did this guy wind up at Tennessee-Chattanooga anyway?

in no way are college athletics perfect, but in my opinion pro sports just can't stack up to them.
