Apologies for not giving credit where credit is due (i.e. not extending "South Belt" Conference beyond the reaches of CST)...hey, at least no duplicate link was posted as its own subject thread...

While Centenary and Oral Roberts would be better geographic fits than in the Mid-Con, they would be their own respective "institutional islands"....

Hear any good D-II stuff lately? Last thing I really heard was about GNC members possibly becoming football members of the NCC? Haven't heard anything on Presbyterian...

Agreed on that. At least when I did my latest full-scale realignment of D-I, I put the two in a new league that had members of a similar ilk to ORU and Centenary.

It's odd that only the Washington schools are trying to get involved, and that Humboldt State and WOU are being left out. As far as Presby goes, have not heard anything lately as well.

The one new thing that has popped up recently was the formation of the Great Lakes Football Conference. Central State(OH), Missouri-Rolla, St. Joe's(IN), Tiffin and Upper Iowa are the members. Hope to have a link to the league soon.




This is just plain dumb, so I refuse to comment on it.

Oh, almost forgot to mention that the PacWest(D-II) will split up as Montana State-Billings and Western New Mexico are joining the Heartland Conference next year. [snicker]Heh, try to organize a conference streching from the Arizona border to Jefferson City, MO![/snicker]

Mr. Rawk, I suspect that link has transitioned into an archive. Can you check on that?

All I'd say otherwise is that it's not the first time that Southern Oregon and Humboldt State were treated like stepchildren. They seem to have that effect on people lately. I think it's just being too far south of the other relevant northwest schools and too far north of like-minded California schools.
