If the Southland does in fact expel Nicholls State, does the Big South possibly take an interest simply for the sake of its existing football program?

So Nicholls State can be "expunged"[sic] but not "expelled"....

I chose Cenetary over TAMCC and TX-PA because A) it keeps the Louisiana schools more happy, b) a travel partner with Central Arkansas C) keeps a league member in Northern Louisiana.

Savannah St.? Its no longer April Fool's DAy.

It doesn't seem like there would be any reason for an "established" I-AA conference to take a flier on a Savannah State, especially when Central Arkansas and Tarelton State have applied for membership...Savannah State not being a member of the Big South (at least for football) at the moment probably speaks volumes about the predicament of Savannah State at the D-I/I-AA level...

As for the April Fools' Joke, the prospect of Nicholls State being expelled in favor of Texas-Pan American should have been a dead give away, especially since a "football-only" Nicholls State would have been the 10th member of a football conference which also included Central Arkansas, Tarelton State, and Texas-San Antonio...that being said, Nicholls State was added to the SLC later than fellow former Gulf Star members Northwestern State, Sam Houston State, Stephen F. Austin, Southwest Texas State...

Also, Temple broke BIG EAST rules regarding the presence of football-only members and being located in the same city as an existing conference member...
